Your edge is already there.
But if you don't record it,
you'll never see it.
A 300-page paper journal designed for traders who treat execution like an engineering problem. Daily log, weekly review, setup library, mental hand history, monthly P&L. Structured for a full trading year.
moves.
Track your
growth.
It's not a strategy problem.
It's a memory problem.
The gap between the trader you think you are and the trader your equity curve actually shows. A gap measured in trades you didn't log — and lessons you'll learn twice.
You closed a winner too early. You won't write that down anywhere.
You took 3 stop losses in a row and doubled the size. You know how that ended.
Your broker says one thing. Your journal — if you keep one — says another.
At month-end you remember the 2 epic trades. You forgot the 47 mediocre ones.
Same setup, third time this quarter. Same mistake. No record of the first two.
You "review" the week scrolling chart screenshots. No structure. No conclusion.
You took a B+ setup at 4/10 quality because you were impatient. You won't even log it.
If you said yes to even one of these —
this journal was built for you.
Not a notebook. Not a planner.
A structured logging system.
300 pages designed around how professional traders actually work: a daily trade log, a setup library you build over years, a structured weekly review against your own A/B/C-game, monthly P&L tracking, and a Mental Hand History format adapted from the cognitive frameworks behind Mark Douglas and Jared Tendler.
Everything you keep promising yourself you'll start tracking — already on the page. Open, write, close. The structure does the thinking.
Three steps. Zero friction.
No app to install. No login. Open the book at the end of every session.
Configure your protocol
Pages 1–21: write your goals, your trading plan, your setups, your pre-trade checklist. The fixed scaffolding you'll trade from for the next 12 months.
Log every trade at session close
One spread per day: 3 trades + market conditions + self-rating + daily P&L. Takes 4 minutes. Skip a day and the structure tells you.
Review every Friday and every 1st
Weekly review pages force the question: did you trade your plan? Monthly P&L pages force the question: where did the money actually come from?
What discipline looks
like, on paper.
Every page is fixed structure — not blank pages with prompts. The scaffolding is the product. Fill it in for 12 months and the patterns you couldn't see before become impossible to ignore.
Daily log — more than 1,000 trades
Pair, setup, position, session, entry timeframe, risk, RR, P&L, notes. Plus a 3-axis self-rating: rules followed, risk management, emotional state.
Your edges, codified once
8 fixed pages to define every setup you trade: trigger, invalidation, context, expected RR, screenshot space. Stop re-explaining the same setup to yourself every Monday.
Tendler's 5-step protocol on paper
Trigger → faulty logic → rebuttal → correction → reinforcement. The cognitive framework professional poker players use, adapted for trading mistakes you keep repeating.
A/B/C-game scoring, every Friday
52 weekly review spreads. Did you trade your plan? Where did C-game show up? What's the one rule you'll tighten for next week. Forced answers, not prompts.
Hand-drawn equity curve
12 monthly review spreads. Equity curve plotted by hand on a fixed grid. P&L by setup. Win rate, profit factor, max drawdown — calculated yourself, so you actually feel the numbers.
The non-trading variables
Sleep, screen time, journaling streak, pre-market routine. 4 pages of habit grid. The variables that show up in your equity curve before you notice them anywhere else.
A look inside the Trading Journal.
Pages designed to bring method and discipline to your trading. Below: a selection of the spreads you'll actually be writing on, every session.
The Online Trading Journal.
Where your statistics live.
The paper journal regulates emotion. The online journal measures performance. You need both — for different reasons. Built for the trader who needs measurable edge: hold-time analytics, timing distribution, drawdown tracking, asset-class P&L breakdown. Available as Google Sheets and Excel (.xlsx).
Paper for discipline. Online for performance. Two products. Two purposes. One system.

Built on proven methodologies.
Two cognitive frameworks underlie every page. The journal doesn't reinvent — it codifies.
The Mental Hand History format and the weekly A/B/C-game scoring are direct adaptations of Tendler's protocol. Raise your floor before you raise your ceiling — and track exactly that on paper.
Monthly review pages are designed around the "casino approach": single trades are noise, the sample is the edge. The monthly equity curve is the only honest scoreboard.
No motivational quotes. No promises. Just the structure that, after five years of iterations, was the one we kept using.
Run the numbers. Honestly.
Two inputs. One uncomfortable answer. Then compare it to €39.99.
What you'd actually want to ask.
Direct answers. Zero marketing-speak.
What languages is it available in?
Three editions: Italian on Amazon.it, English on Amazon.com, Spanish on Amazon.es. The structure of the pages is identical — only the section headers, instructions, and table of contents are translated.
What's the difference between the 3 editions?
None on the trading content. Same 300 pages, same structure. Buy whichever language you'd rather write in. If you trade in English but read Italian, the Italian edition still works — it's mostly tables.
Is the online journal included with the paper book?
No. They're sold separately because they serve different purposes. The paper book is for daily emotional regulation and discipline — you write at session close, slow down, and create the cognitive trace. The Online Trading Journal (€39.99) is for performance analytics, hold-time stats, timing distribution, and drawdown math. Buy the paper journal on Amazon. Buy the online journal via the dedicated checkout on this page.
Why are the paper journal and the online journal sold separately?
Because they do different jobs. The paper journal slows you down at session close — that's where emotional regulation and the cognitive trace happen. The online journal speeds you up at review time — that's where pattern detection, timing distribution and drawdown math live. Buying one without the other works. Buying both is how serious traders set up.
How many trading weeks does it cover?
More than 1,000 trades can be logged across the daily journal spreads, with 52 weekly review pages and 12 monthly P&L spreads. For most active traders that covers a full calendar year. For day-traders running 5+ trades/day, plan on a refill in 9–10 months.
Is it suitable for a complete beginner?
Honestly: no. If you've never opened a trade, the page structure will confuse you (it asks for entry timeframe, risk %, RR, setup name — these are concepts you'll meet later). If you've been trading for 3+ months with any consistency, the journal is exactly the structure you don't yet have.
Can I use it for both manual and algorithmic trading?
Yes. The Trade Log is execution-agnostic — algo trades just get logged at session close like manual ones. The Mental Hand History is obviously irrelevant for algos, but the Setup Library and the monthly P&L by setup are arguably more useful for systematic traders.
Shipping and delivery times?
Sold and shipped by Amazon. Prime: 1–2 days in supported regions. Standard: 3–5 days. Returns and customer service are handled by Amazon under their standard 30-day return policy.
What if I want a real-time tool that blocks my mistakes — does that exist?
Yes — and it's specifically built to read this journal's digital format. It's called TradeAnchor. The journal logs what already happened; TradeAnchor blocks it before it happens. See the next section ↓
Hardcover or paperback? Paper quality?
Paperback flexible cover, matte finish. 120 g/m² uncoated paper — fountain-pen friendly, no bleed-through with standard ballpoint or rollerball. 7×10″ format (17.8 × 25.4 cm) — fits next to a laptop without taking the desk.
Why paper, in 2026?
Because writing slows you down — and that's the entire point. Typing into a spreadsheet is faster but doesn't make you think. The friction of paper is a feature: it forces you to be selective about what you record, and the act of writing creates a cognitive trace digital tools don't.
The journal builds the habit.
TradeAnchor enforces the protocol.
Once you've used this journal long enough to know your patterns, TradeAnchor is the natural next move. It reads the same trade structure you've been logging on paper, applies it in real time to your live session, and blocks the mistakes before they happen — not after you've written them down.
Separate purchase. TradeAnchor is the automation layer — for traders who want enforcement, not just logging.
The trader you want to become
already writes it all down.
300 pages. Three editions. One structure. Pick your market, pick your language — and start the next 12 months on the right page.
